The Human Race

TheHumanRace is a channel that was created to remind us that we are all one. We are all human.  We are all created from the same source. Although there are differing ideas of who or what that source is, we are more alike then we are different and every soul deserves to be treated equally without exception.

In December 2014, I was reflecting on news reports, social media feeds and articles that highlighted separation of race here in America and all over the World, I wanted to do something to unite us. The Human Race project is what I came up with. I started asking people if they would re-identify their race. To remove the labels put on us through history and re-claim the only race, The Human Race.

I hope you will support the Human Race. Regardless of skin color, economic status, faith, cultural identity, sexuality, man, woman, old, or young we all need Air, Food, Shelter, Water and Sleep to Survive. WE ALL BLEED THE SAME COLOR BLOOD. Let us show this understanding in our actions everyday. #theHumanRace

HAPPY BIRTHDAY #thehumanrace

January 11, 2016

A little over a year ago I found myself overwhelmed by what was going on in the world. Specifically, in Ferguson at that time. What has been happening for generations. In meditation I asked what can I do? I felt that shining a light on the fact that we are all human with so many similarities was important. I grabbed my Camera and went out to start filming. I asked a few people to send me cell phone video. I felt it would perhaps ease the pain of separation even if for the minute and a half you are watching the video. I further hoped that others would jump on board and upload their own #thehumanrace video to youtube or our Facebook page as their affirmation of unity. A few people did and the feedback I received from the 100 people we spoke to and put on camera was beautiful. I hoped it would spread to every human on earth that may feel hopeless and uncertain on what to do. That may feel that they can not just be who they are regardless of their skin color, religion or sexual preference. Perhaps just an opening to what is possible for unity of all Humans.

Here it is a year later and more black men have died. We have had more death by shootings. We have Presidential candidates that want to put chips in people because of their choice of religion. They want to take away background checks for gun purchases just to win votes. We all need to consider that outside of the constitution of America. We need to consider all people and how we can all peacefully exist on this planet.
